"To live is the rarest thing in the world.
Most people exist, that is all."

- Oscar Wilde

Not long ago, I was searching for answers—feeling broken, depleted, and lost.

My name is Melissa Wecker. Born in the rolling hills of Rwanda, Africa, and raised across Canada and the United States, I grew up in a health-conscious household rooted in third-generation vegetarianism. Our days were filled with homegrown vegetables and herbs, daily home-cooked meals, and a deep respect for nourishing food.

Medical expertise ran through my family: my grandfather, father, and multiple uncles are physicians; my mother is a nurse, and many of my aunts work as healthcare professionals. They remain among the most talented practitioners I know. Yet despite this advantage, I endured over 30 years of chronic pain, fatigue, cognitive challenges, poor memory, cystic acne, depression, anxiety and more.

I struggled through school, work, and life itself. Slowly, I recognized that I was merely existing—not living. Something needed to change.

My health struggle

From childhood through my mid-20s, I navigated a persistent cycle of anxiety, depression, and chronic pain. Despite frequent bone aches and debilitating fatigue, conventional laboratory results consistently returned as normal. Reliance on standard pain management provided only temporary relief, while psychiatric medications lost their efficacy over time.  Many evenings I would wish that I would fall asleep and never wake up.  Life was exhausting, it was an effort to do the bare minimum of existing.  This all began to change when I discovered NAET, a modality rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine that would eventually become the cornerstone of my healing."

"Driven by my own need for answers, I pursued advanced studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) to establish a solid foundation in natural healing. My training further evolved to include specialized certifications in NAET, BodyTalk, Accunect, Neuro-Emotional Technique (NET), Functional Medicine, the Root Cause Protocol (RCP) and more. Through these healing techniques, my pain, depression and anxiety healed. My mental clarity improved. I gained motivation and energy to not only get by in life, but the energy to pursue my passions and purpose in life.  And for the first time, I found joy in everyday experiences, in simply being alive.

My Vision

In my practice, I am passionate about blending ancient wisdom with modern science to find root causes, optimize nutrition and restore function at the cellular level.  I see myself as both partner and guide in your healing journey as we work on unraveling a lifetime's worth of issues. I help you discover ways to tap into the healing wisdom that’s inside each of us. I feel that by listening deeply to a patient’s whole story, together we can come up with practical holistic solutions to nourish  life and preserve health.

My Mission

I believe when our bodies are physically, nutritionally and spiritually nourished and provided for at the deepest levels, we can achieve things that would otherwise be impossible. We can effortlessly adapt to the world around us and our cells can provide the additional power we need to achieve a superior level of life. And with each person I help create a bigger more beautiful life the world becomes a bigger more beautiful place.

I find joy in traveling

Being born in Rwanda, and growing up with a family that traveled extensively, I have participated in heath education and aid programs in Egypt, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Burma, and Albania.  I lived in the UK for 4 years while studying my Bachelor of Honors in Combined Humanities and a Masters of Science in Business Management.  After 4 years of studying my Dr. of Traditional Chinese Medicine I completed a 3 month internship in a teaching hospital in Mianyang city, Sichuan province in China.

Three Teacups
I find my zen...

...in a perfectly brewed cup of Jiaogulan (gynostemma) tea, early mornings in my greenhouse, hiking in the rocky mountains and long walking commutes to work.
