Traditionally the Winter Solstice has been a time to honor darkness and to journey deep within to reflect, restore and nourish from the inside out. The Summer Solstice is a day that is to celibrate the greatest energy, prosperity, vitality and strength.

But some people experience symptoms as daylight hours get shorter or longer- usually in late fall and early winter but can also be experianced in early spring. Commonly refered to as seasonal affective disorder - SAD. The most common is the winter blues, a feeling of less positivity in the winter months, which dissipates when the winter season is over.
